Our holistic vision of Made in Senegal is built on a deep respect for local materials, knowledge, and the people who bring them to life. At DIOM, we see craftsmanship not just as a practice, but as a form of cultural resilience—and a pathway to thoughtful industry.

This vision is a direct extension of the pioneering work initiated by Aïssa Dione Tissus. Founded in 1992, the mother-house led the revival of traditional Senegalese weaving, adapting Mandjaque looms for upholstery textiles and opening a dialogue between ancestral techniques and modern design.

DIOM was born from this foundation—with the ambition to bring textile and woodcraft excellence together into a complete design offering. It expands the original mission by integrating furniture making, upholstery, metalwork, embroidery, and more into a single ecosystem powered by Senegalese expertise.

As we grow, we remain committed to a "soft industry" model—one that values quality over quantity, invests in technical training, and fosters collaboration across disciplines and generations.
